Sasha Holden

Dr Sasha Holden is a qualified lawyer and academic, living and working in Jersey. She specialises in international law and human rights, focusing on women, children, migrants and refugees.

Formerly Associate Dean at the Institute of Law, Sasha has lectured variously in international human rights law, public law, jurisprudence and legal systems in Jersey, at King’s College London and at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington.

Sasha was awarded her PhD from King's College London in 2018. She has a first-class master’s degree in international human rights law from the University of Oxford and undergraduate degrees in law and history from Otago University, New Zealand.

Sasha is a qualified solicitor of the senior courts of England and Wales and a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Sasha also founded the LOLA Project, a charity to promote wellbeing for women who have experienced miscarriage and stillbirth.
